Nawaloka Construction has landed a Rs. 2.37 billion project to construct the first phase of the import air cargo terminal at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
Competitive bids were called for the project after Cabinet approval was granted on 7 May 2019 to initiate the procurement process for the construction of the first phase of an Import Air-Cargo Terminal at BIA, Cabinet Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella told the weekly Cabinet briefing.
After considering the recommendation of the Procurement Appeal Board the Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga to award this contract to Nawaloka Construction Ltd. for Rs. 2.37 billion.
