World Bank, Asian Development Bank, International Monetary Fund and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank representatives met with President Ranil Wickremesinghe on Monday and decided that a coordinated assistance program supported by the multilateral financial institutions is required for Sri Lanka to recover from the ongoing economic crisis.
The round table discussion was held with the World Bank South Asia Region Vice President Martin Raiser, ADB Vice President Shixin Chen, IMF Senior Mission Chief Peter Breuer and AIIB Vice President Dr. Urjit Patel along with the senior officials of those institutions, who are currently in Sri Lanka.
