Business magazine LMD has broken new ground by launching a community-centred campaign titled ‘Refresh Sri Lanka’ with the release of its October edition, which features insights from a number of leaders from the business and professional communities.
A spokesperson for the magazine explained: “The campaign centres on a number of pillars that are the foundation of building a model nation, whereby civic-mindedness is at the core.”
“Following the events of the last six months, and the lessons learned from the people’s struggle, we have seen a window of opportunity to spread awareness about the rich rewards that flow from building a civic sense among working people,” he added.
The campaign will cover all media platforms – LMD, including social media and LMDtv, press, radio, LED screens etc., in addition to publishing a series of thoughts from business and civil society leaders in LMD over the next 12 months to spread awareness, the magazine published Media Services says.
Refresh Sri Lanka will focus on the following pillars of civic-mindedness: Honesty, professionalism and ethics, law and order, zero tolerance for bribery and corruption, paying our tax dues and waste disposal.
