The sixth annual CEOs Forum on Cyber Security,themed ‘Towards a Secure Digital Future’ and organised by the Daily FT and CICRA Consultancies, will be held today at 6.30 p.m. onwards at the Cinnamon Grand.
Over the past six years, the much sought after event has succeeded in stressing the need to make cyber security a boardroom issue and today’s forum will add fresh insighton the latest threats and solutions.
Over 100 CEOs are expected to attend the invitation-onlyevent. The CEOs Forum precedes the full-day Cyber Security Summit, also held for the sixth consecutive year with Defence Secretary Kapila Waidyaratne PC attending as the Chief Guest and Central Bank Governor Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy functioning as the Guest of Honour at the Cinnamon Grand.
At today’s CEOs Forum, valuable insights will be shared by CISCO, USA Regional Manager –Cyber Security, India and SAARC Vivek Srivastava;InfoWatch Group, Russia Senior Manager Nikita Zaychikov;Cellebrite, Israel Vice President, APAC Terry Loo and Visa Inc., USA Director - Risk Services, India and South Asia Lakshmi Ramakrishnan.
Some of the focus areas will be the prevention of data leakage, security in the IOT era, digital forensic dynamics and mitigating risks in financial services.

The objective of the full day Summit, featuring 17 speakers and panellists is create awareness on the importance of cyber security among top officers in the government, corporates and IT professionals. It also promotes best practices to participants in acquiring, implementing, managing and measuring information security postures of their organisations and countermeasures.
The summit also exposes the latest flaws in information security that affects the global community including corporations and governments. Discussions and presentations will revolve around some of the most malicious attacks and potential threats surrounding the security field.
Participants will get a better understanding of the need for proactive strategies for corporate IT infrastructure through these demonstrations. The demonstrations will also emphasise the need to recognise ethical hacking as a profession and the importance of hiring those involved in it for proactive exercises to ensure enterprise IT security.
The day conference of the summit will be followed by Hangout with Hackers (Night Hack) – an evening edutainment meet-up where ethical hackers will conduct demonstrations and engage with the audience to showcase the latest skills.
