HRCSL wants Govt. to permit burial of COVID dead

The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) has written to the Secretary and Director General of Health Service, Ministry of Health recommending burial of those dead due to COVID-19.

This has been conveyed in a set of detailed observations and recommendations on the disposal of dead bodies in the context of COVID-19.

The Commission has urged these recommendations be taken into consideration and that the Gazette to be amended accordingly.
