The Foreign Affairs Ministry, congratulating Solih, said it looked forward to working with the new President and hopes to enhance the bilateral relations with the island country.
“We congratulate Solih on his victory and look forward to working closely with him and the people of the Maldives in pursuing the elevation of relations between the Maldives and Sri Lanka to greater heights,” it added.
