The Government yesterday urged traders not to hide chemical fertiliser stocks to sell later at higher prices.
Following the decision to ban future import of chemical fertilisers, the Government alleged some traders were hoarding previously imported stocks to profit by creating an artificial scarcity.

“Import of fresh consignments will not be allowed in 2021 hence no point in hiding available existing stocks,” the Government said, urging traders to release and sell same.
