Govt. caps price of rice

The Government yesterday slapped a Maximum Retail Price (MRP) on rice sold in the market in a bid to offer relief to masses and prevent millers and traders taking undue advantage. 

The new MRP is Rs. 96 for a kilo of Nadu, Rs. 98 for a kilo of Samba and Rs. 125 for a kilo of Keeri Samba.
