Health authorities yesterday confirmed four more persons succumbed to COVID-19 on Monday, raising the country’s death toll to 16,548.
They also reported 154 new COVID infected patients increasing the total to 665,248.
As per the Department of Government Information, the four fatalities confirmed on Tuesday were two males and females. Of them, all males were over the age of 60 years and one female was the age of 30-59 years and one over the age of 60.
Epidemiology Unit data which was last updated on Tuesday shows that 9,334 of the fatalities are male and 7,205 fatalities are female. It also said that 76.26% of the total fatalities were over the age of 60, 22.42% were aged between 30 and 59 years and 1.32% were below the age of 30.
