Essential industries, institutions can function in isolated areas of Colombo

The National Operations Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak said yesterday that factories under the Board of Investment (BOI) of Sri Lanka and the Export Development Board (EDB), courts and other essential Government institutions in areas declared as isolated in Colombo from today can be maintained under the supervision of the health authorities.

It said factories under the Board of Investment and Exports Development Board in Maradana, Fort, Pettah, Slave Island, Dam Street Police Divisions and Keselwatta Police Division which have been designated as isolated areas from today and the courts and other essential Government institutions in the said police divisions are allowed to operate under health guidelines and strict supervision of the health authorities.
