Enterprise Sri Lanka to be extended

The Cabinet this week decided to approve Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera's proposed amendments to loans offered under the ‘Enterprise Sri Lanka’ loan program at the next Cabinet meeting. 

The move will see the Ran Aswanna, Govi Navodha, Jaya Isuru, Diri Saviya, Haritha Naya and Special Working Capital loan schemes brought under the National Savings Bank and amended in order to achieve the loans’ desired objectives.

The timeframe of the Madaya Aruna loan scheme will also be extended from 7 July to 31 December 2020.

Enterprise Sri Lanka is one of the Government’s key initiatives and has seen Rs. 70 billion distributed among 40,240 beneficiaries as of August 2019
