Emirates and Singapore Airlines are among the first in the aviation industry to vaccinate their crew in a confidence building exercise initiated yesterday to boost global travel.
Emirates tweeted yesterday that it rolled out a COVID-19 vaccination program for its workforce based in the UAE, with priority being placed on the frontline aviation workforce, including cabin crew, flight deck and other operationally focused roles.
The tweet also said: “Emirates is one of the first airlines in the world to rollout a COVID-19 vaccination program for its workforce, ensuring the health and wellbeing of aviation employees who serve the travelling public and help move essential goods around the world.”
Singapore Airlines also in a tweet said it had become one of the first airlines in the world to begin vaccinating its airline staff members with the #COVID19 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines.
Vaccination was started at Singapore Changi Airport for pilots, cabin crew, airport staff, engineers and more.
