To discuss the opportunities for Wellness and Medical Tourism, the Travel and Tourism Market Access Team of the European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (ECCSL) will hold a webinar tomorrow at 3 p.m.
ECCSL said there are many good reasons to visit Sri Lanka and the country has much to offer for every type of visitor. With all the signs that tourism to Sri Lanka has started to recover, one sector in particular which holds great potential is Wellness Tourism.
The webinar will explore the potential for offering a holistic wellness holiday experience, combining Sri Lanka’s unique wellness culture and history with the other values for which the island is known: a warm welcome, friendly hospitality and closeness to nature. The webinar will also highlight the difference between Helavedakama and Ayurveda and what they each offer, as well as the preparedness of Sri Lanka to cater for travellers with limited mobility or with impaired hearing or vision.
Medical tourism will also be discussed, with regard to Sri Lanka’s readiness to facilitate medical travellers and how well the country is equipped with experienced medical travel agents, international standards and certifications and the logistical network to provide for the needs of medical tourists before and during their visit.
An eminent panel of speakers will address the webinar. They are Access the Globe Founder and Accessible Tourism Consultant James Exton, Hettigoda Industries Ltd.
