Diesel to be cheaper

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation yesterday reduced the price of Octane 92 petrol by Rs. 40 per litre and Auto Diesel reduced by Rs. 15.

With the price revisions, Octane 92 petrol will be sold at Rs. 370 a litre and Auto Diesel will be available at Rs. 415 per litre. Lanka IOC also announced a

similar revision.

Power and Energy Minister Wijesekera noted that prices of other petroleum products will remain unchanged.

The price revision was based on the fuel price formula announced every 1 and 15 of each month. On 2 October, CPC reduced the price of Petrol 92 by Rs. 40 per litre to Rs. 410 and that of Petrol 95 by Rs. 30 per litre to Rs. 510.
