Calcey Technologies, a boutique product engineering company with a presence in Sri Lanka for the last two decades, announced that the head count of its Sri Lankan operation had grown by a staggering 35% in 2021. This growth comes on the back of the company’s accelerated growth plan, which was energised by the global shift towards digitisation. “We’ve seen increased investments into digitisation efforts by large scale enterprises and SMEs in our key markets. Naturally, that has presented us with a lot of opportunities and we intend to take full advantage of this favourable shift in our business environment. That is why we have committed ourselves to hiring more talent in Sri Lanka,” observed Calcey Technologies Founder and CEO Mangala Karunaratne.
Calcey’s Director of People and Culture Ishara Walpola remarked that Sri Lanka’s IT professionals were innately better at delivering on the high expectations of clients. “Taking ownership is a cornerstone of our operating model. Calcey’s success stems from our preference to transform the business operations of our clients, and doing so requires us to go the extra mile. It requires our people to have a rare mix of technical skills, soft skills, and creativity. We’ve found that Sri Lanka’s IT professionals tend to possess this blend,” she continued.
At the time of writing, Calcey Technologies had a whole host of openings across different disciplines listed on the Careers section of its website. “We invite those interested in building a fulfilling career to apply to any of the 30-plus positions available,” Walpola said.
