The Cabinet of Ministers on Monday approved the setting up of a land data infrastructure and information services system with Korean funding worth $ 60.3 million subject to recommendations from the ICT Agency.
The Government said the establishment of the control network of the Department of Survey of Sri Lanka utilising novel technology would speed up the process of its survey activities and enhance productivity.
Accordingly, the requirement to establish a land information service system with modified infrastructure facilities has been identified to enable those who utilise the service to use those resources conveniently.
