The Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka (CPM Sri Lanka) in partnership with Daily FT have assembled a distinguished line of expert International speakers on a timely and thought provoking theme this year for their annual signature event, the International Conference on the theme “Management Practices Decoded: Disruptions and Choices”.
They will focus on management practices and transformations caused by the pandemic.
The full day conference will be held on 24 February at Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.
CPM Sri Lanka said management is a very practical, down-to-earth activity. There are no profound truths about it to be discovered, and there are no hidden secrets to be uncovered about how to do it.
Management is a simple activity that involves bringing together people and resources to produce goods or services. It is multi-dimensional, dynamic and intangible.
In fact, effective organisations are able to withstand change disturbance and disruption and will have the ability, capacity and competence to face disruption.
Their managers are endowed with leadership, communication, planning and strategy and organisational skills. They have the courage to take bold decisions, they are accountable for their actions and they are adaptable to changes in the environment.
This conference attempts to capture the essence of good management, examine best practitioners and investigate case examples of best practice so as to enable participants to have close encounters with what should be emulated in their own organisations.
The technical sessions will cover (a) Disruptions and Choices - Leadership and Focus (b) Best Management Practices (Year 2020-2021); Back to Business in the New Normal and (c) Innovation, Strategic Sustainability, and Emerging Technology for Choices.
In conjunction with the conference, the top 10 organisations that have implemented outstanding best management practices will be recognised and the top five organisations will be invited to make presentations during the Conference, followed by a Q&A session that assures the best value to the participants.
The conference will therefore target management experts, scholars, practicing managers, business leaders, policy administrators and other academics from diverse countries on a platform to discuss various connected issues and share their research findings.
In addition to the members of the Institute, the conference will have participants from Corporate and Public Sector, Universities, Management Institutes, and Business Schools, both locally and internationally.
CPM Sri Lanka invites all those who wish to participate in this valuable conference to register without delay.
Any interested parties or corporates who wish for bulk nominations can reach CPM Sri Lanka secretariat via 0112590995 / 0706590997 or email [email protected] for prior registration.
