Commercial Bank PLC yesterday announced it has obtained an Operation License to carry out microfinance business in Myanmar.
The approval is for CBC Myanmar Microfinance Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Commercial Bank. The license is to operate in Myanmar as a Non-Saving Deposit Organisation issued by the Myanmar Microfinance Supervisory Enterprise.
