Sri Lanka Telecom has announced the resignation of its CEO along with one of its directors.
Group CEO Dileepa Wijesundera has resigned effective 11 March 2018 while Rohan de Silva has tendered his resignation from 19 December.
SLT said its Board was in the process of searching for a new Group CEO. In the interim, the SLT Group will be led by Chairman Kumarasinghe Sirisena and the Executive Committee of the Board, supported by senior management.
The Board thanked Wijesundera, who joined SLT in March 2015, for his contributions and services to the company.
The Chairman of the McLarens Group, de Silva joined the SLT Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director on 30 December 2015.
