The world’s first integrated safety, security and mobility operating system, Restrata, has partnered with One in a Million Ltd. to provide technology as part of a wider project aimed at bringing tourists back to Sri Lanka.
By creating bio-secure hotels, guests can enjoy their stay with the confidence that proven technology is being used to monitor and mitigate the risk of infection. Working alongside other measures (PCR testing, social distancing etc.), Restrata will monitor all personnel, including hotel staff, management, and guests, to ensure the bio-bubble is secure. Should a positive COVID-19 case be found, the technology can instantly provide contact tracing to ascertain the exposure of fellow guests and ensure that isolation is limited to only those with close contact.
Restrata is a British owned group with headquarters in the United Arab Emirates.
Restrata Vice President Will Follett said: “We are delighted to be able to support One in a Million with this concept. Our technology is a proven solution in mitigating the risk of COVID-19 and helping to provide confidence and assurance for the hospitality, tourism and events business.”
“Having visited Sri Lanka on numerous occasions and experienced first-hand the beauty of the country and the hospitality of the people, I am excited to support the venture in bringing tourists safely back to this beautiful country,” Follett added.
Restrata provides a fully integrated platform which provides seamless control for technology-enabled command and control. When COVID-19 arose, it developed the pandemic module. This provides a solution to enable clients to manage, monitor and respond to this risk.
“By creating bio-secure environments, we are able to provide real-time monitoring of all personnel and tracking their proximity with others. This allows contact tracing for those who are within two metres of another person, limiting the spread of infection,” Restrata said.
One in a Million Ltd. (https://travelbubblelanka.com/) specialises in what it calls as bubble-to-bubble integrated architectural and technologically driven in-bound tourism in Sri Lanka. The offering is the first of its kind in the world and the concept stemmed out of the pandemic.
Its partnership with Restrata is to enable Sri Lanka’s tourism industry to survive and sustain itself via bio-secure means amidst the COVID pandemic.
Restrata technology has been successfully deployed at over 40 hotels and stadia, and has facilitated some of the biggest sporting events in the world, such as the Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League, and the Abu Dhabi T10, to name a few.
With a client base spanning six continents and working across a range of industries, including energy, critical national infrastructure, logistics, hospitality and humanitarian sectors, Restrata has developed solutions that increase operational effectiveness whilst mitigating risks. With almost 20 years of global experience, Restrata is a leading provider in security, safety and crisis management solutions. It has been helping organisations build resilience through more effective management of safety and security risks.
“We are focused on promoting architectural tourism,” the Spokesman for One in a Million said, adding architectural tourism means going to a travel destination to see historical monuments and architecture.
“A quicker revival in tourism is critical for Sri Lanka given its catalyst role to enhance livelihoods as well as generate much needed foreign exchange earnings,” the spokesman added.
