The Colombo High Court Trial-at-Bar yesterday postponed the case against former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake and seven other accused over the Central Bank bond auctions that took place in 2016 for 25 October.
The case was called before Trial-at-Bar Judges Amal Ranaraja Adithiya Patabendi and Namal Ballalle and the suspects were served with an additional set of indictments which the prosecution had failed to serve to the defence when the indictments were served on the last calling date.
Thereafter the judges ordered the defence to inform the Court if any shortages of the indictments were discovered.
The Attorney General had filed indictments against the accused, including the former Finance Minister and former Governor of the Central Bank Arjuna Mahendran.
Solicitor General Priyantha Nawana with Haripriya Jayasundera and Lakmini Girihagama appeared for the prosecution.
