AG gives go-ahead for 2022 Appropriation Bill

The Attorney General has given his approval for the Government’s Appropriation Bill for 2022.

The Government said clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the draft bill prepared by

the Legal Draftsman on the 2022 Appropriation Bill.

On Monday, the Cabinet of Ministers granted approval to the resolution furnished by Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa to publish the draft bill in the gazette notification and thereby table the same in Parliament. Cabinet, in late July, approved the drafting of the Appropriation Bill for the financial year of 2022.
