300 sales achievers recognised Sri Lanka Insurance held its 7th Life Insurance congress this month to facilitate its top performing Life Insurance sales personnel at the

Heritance Kandalama. Over three hundred top achievers, the acting Chairman of Sri Lanka Insurance and the Senior Management of SLIC participated at the congress. The sales achievers who achieved the highest levels at a competition held February to June qualified to attend this prestigious two-day residential congress. The event was comprised of sessions carried out by veteran motivational speakers such as, Caltex Managing Director/CEO Kishu Gomes, Chancellor of the University of Wayamba Professor E.S. Wickramasinghe and former Navy Commander Rear Admiral Somathilaka Dissanayake. 100 achievers received cash and foreign tour packages as awards at this event. Acting Chairman Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Insuru Balapatabendi, in his speech congratulated the achievers and stressed that they should continue the excellent performance in the face of stiff completion in the market. Sri Lanka Insurance is the first insurance company to have been assigned a global rating for financial stability AA (lka) from Fitch Ratings, London which is an assurance of the company’s long term financial sustainability. The company is the only insurer awarded RAM Ratings of AAA for its ‘long term claim paying ability’, which further affirms the corporation’s capacity to meet financial obligations to policyholders. The company was also awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification for correct governance and operational procedures in line with accepted global standards.
