Wipe out Avurudu shopping bill with BOC debit card

BOC celebrates this Avurudu by encouraging its cardholders to use BOC debit cards and get their bills wiped out, up to a maximum of Rs. 20,000 per cardholder a day when they shop from 28 March to 13 April 2013. Daily, five winners will get a chance to wipe out their Avurudu shopping bill.

 This unique offer is available when the BOC debit cardholders (ATM cardholders) pay for goods and services by using their BOC debit cards during this festive season.  

BOC debit cardholders could shop for anything, anywhere during the promotional period and make the payment through the BOC debit card to be eligible for the daily draw to be among five daily lucky winners to get their Avurudu bill wiped out.  

The names of the winners of each day will be published in the newspapers at the end of each week and value of the prizes will be credited to their respective accounts maintained with Bank of Ceylon.

Each winner with the respective value of prizes will be notified through an SMS.

While rewarding customers for using their BOC debit cards, BOC’s aim is to minimise the risk of carrying cash during this festive season. Therefore, use BOC debit card in every purchase of goods and services to become a winner and as well as avoiding the risk of carrying cash while shopping. There will be more chances to win prizes by making multiple payments through your BOC debit card.

BOC debit cards consist of 14 Plus, 18 Plus, Kantha Ran Ginum, BOC Savings, NRFC account holders, Senior Citizens and Prestige Plus Professional Current Account holders and other personal current account holders as well. It is one of the most convenient ways of making payments with over 13,000 outlets in Sri Lanka.  

Payments could also be made in over 22 million outlets worldwide. This facility is available round the clock for the customers who have BOC debit cards. BOC is the number one bank in the country with over 600 branches and over 10 million customers.
