Union Bank opens in Narammala

Union Bank of Colombo PLC (UBC) opened its 37th branch in Narammala on 26 April 2013 adding to its rapidly expanding branch network. The new branch is located at 64, Kuliyapitiya Road, Narammala and was ceremonially opened by Union Bank Director / Chief Executive Officer Anil Amarasuriya.

The bank’s expansion is specifically geared to grow the SME and retail portfolio and the growing branch network complements the bank’s vision and journey of becoming the preferred bank for SMEs.

Narammala contributes significantly to the agro-export industry of Sri Lanka and offers a myriad of opportunities for Union Bank to serve the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and personal banking customers. The bank’s value added services to develop the SME sector also includes speedy loan approvals via video conferencing and the “Viyaparika Saviya” a free advisory service that supports entrepreneur development.
