Sri Lanka’s leading stock market software solutions provider IronOne Technologies has announced a series of new developments including significant enhancements to its product offering, tie-ups with new clients, strategic collaborations and plans for expansion.
Two of the major stock broking houses in the country have recently entered into agreements to adopt IronOne’s instantly-deployable, industry-leading ‘Atrad’ Solutions Platform increasing the application’s local market share to nearly 35 per cent. Discussions are being held with several other broking houses that are also expected to deploy Atrad in the near future, the company said.
Alongside these developments, the groundwork has been laid for the release of the new Atrad ‘next generation online trading platform,’ which when launched in September 2011 will represent unparalleled enhancement of convenience to investors, IronOne’s Vice President Stock Market Solutions Tiranjan Bulankulame said.
An array of education and research tools, fundamental and technical analysis tools, customised watch lists, charts and a market ticker tool, risk management tools, account summary information, corporate news and announcements and a message board are among the enhanced features.
Due to the large number of customisable options the new Atrad platform is ideal for investment advisors, high-end investors and retail investors alike, he said. In addition, the application supports all browsers, can be installed without downloads and its features updates will be available to all users free of charge.
In yet another important enhancement to its innovative product portfolio IronOne has launched the first version of Atrad Mobile, an application which enables investors to view their portfolios, account summaries and the performance of specific stocks on their mobile phones by creating a customised watch list and sending transaction alerts to their brokers via text messages, without the hassle of downloads.
Atrad Mobile is currently being deployed by one of the company’s clients and the public will be able to witness the full range of its benefits at an upcoming forum on the stock market, Bulankulame said.
“These developments will complement the growth of the Colombo Stock Exchange which was recognised internationally as one of the best performing stock exchanges in the world in 2010,” he said. “Sophisticated fundamental and technical analysis as well as the education and research tools offered by the company through its applications support the use of analysis by investors and promote the evolution of Sri Lanka’s stock market into a more research-driven market.”
The company has also taken steps to introduce significant enhancements to the next version of Atrad Mobile including features enabling investors to trade through their mobile phones and to create multiple watch lists to monitor performances of their favourite stocks. As more people have access to mobile phones than to computers in Sri Lanka, these enhancements will significantly facilitate online trading Bulankulame added.
Leveraging its international presence IronOne has also taken steps to promote foreign investments in the Sri Lankan stock market by appointing agents in the UK and Canada and collaborating with Lanka Stock Connect (www.lankastockconnect.com). IronOne is also holding discussions to install several Atrad enabled terminals at a popular restaurant.
IronOne Technologies also offers products supporting margin trading and back office systems of brokerages and has a product portfolio which covers ‘InfoSense banking’ a business Intelligence solution for banks, and specialised mobile technology solutions including iPhone and Blackberry device support. Among users of IronOne’s Atrad Solutions Platform are, Capital Trust Securities Pvt.
