The Trade Finance Association of Bankers of Sri Lanka is organising as an annual event a full day seminar on international trade for the benefit of importers, exporters, lawyers, bankers, shipping and insurance staff and those interested in international trade business. The seminar will be held on 26 November at the Galadari Hotel.
Global trade scenarios such as methods of trade, transportation systems, political environments, etc. are ever changing. It is very important that persons involved in international trade business or operations are conversant and updated with the developments and changes in international trade from a global perspective. This will help to derive maximum benefits from trade transactions.
In the present context of the vulnerable global trade situation, it is opportune that a seminar of this nature is being organised.
The panel of lecturers consists of eminent personalities who have wide experience and specialise in different aspects of international trade
The Trade Finance Association of Bankers was founded in 1997 by a group of dedicated senior bankers involved in international trade and to date the affairs and activities of the association continue to be conducted by senior bankers with wide experience and involved in trade finance.
The Trade Finance Association of Bankers has from its inception been actively engaged in imparting knowledge and the necessary skills to its members, Sri Lankan importers and exporters by conducting seminars, lectures, discussions, workshops, etc., on a wide range of topics relating to international trade.
Educating the Sri Lankan importers and exporters has also been an objective of the association in order to assist them to keep abreast of the changes that are taking place in the industry.
The membership comprises of almost all commercial banks operating in Sri Lanka. A number of senior bankers play a major role in conducting its activities towards the achievement of the goals and objectives of the association.
