Global giant Citi will hold an unique Sri Lanka Pension Services Forum on 17 June from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kings Court, Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo. Chief Guest will be Central Bank Governor Nivard Cabraal whilst featured speakers will be Vanessa Wang, FSA, Asia Pacific Head of Pension Services, Citi Markets and Securities Services and Nick Sherry, Senior Advisor for Citi Investor Services and former Australian Minister for Superannuation and Corporate Law. Citi said Sri Lanka’s pension landscape is quickly garnering growing attention with the government, on the back of declining bank interest rates and lack of annuity, now at the nascent stage of pension reforms. Building on this momentum, Citi is hosting the first Sri Lanka Pension Services Forum, where together with leading industry speakers and peers, the road ahead will be explored. Through analysis of trends and varying regulatory policies from across the region, the Forum aims to showcase key learning experiences conducive to the development of the pensions industry covering both government and private sector employees, from retirement system design and private industry participation in the growth of pension funds to regional case studies in best practice, in particular the Australian story.
