Sri Lanka Insurance launches ‘Minimuthu Daayada’ Children’s Plan

Keeping in line with this, SLIC launched ‘Minimuthu Daayada Children’s Plan’ an insurance policy specially designed to give adequate protection for children’s future prospects at affordable premiums guaranteed assured sums.

Commenting on this, Sri Lanka Insurance Chairman Hemaka Amarasuriya said, “Education plays an important role in a child’s future, however, only a fraction of the younger generation gain admission to government universities, whilst other private higher education costs millions of rupees. With unpredictable loan rates funding a child’s education parents would spend on multiple loan amounts. The stress and burden of this could affect the entire family. With the SLIC ‘Minimuthu Daayada Children’s Plan’, your child will receive complete protection at a highly affordable premium enabling your child to accomplish their future goals.”

With the new Minimuthu Daayada Children’s Plan the investment benefits include attractive maturity benefit of 125% of the sum assured with bonus, the mother or the father will receive five times the sum assured as insurance cover, a Rs. 1,000 per day hospitalisation cash benefit cover for the child in case of hospitalisation. Premium options are available depending on the parents’ income, and the sum assured while investment returns are paid when a child completes 18 years.

Additional covers available with this plan include, Critical Illnesses Cover (both life assured and child), Partial permanent disability covers (life assured), Health Covers (both life and child), Spouse Cover, Funeral Expenses Covers (life assured).
