Sri Lanka Insurance Annual Sales Awards Night honours best of the best

Sri Lanka Insurance Awards Night – Star Awards 2015, felicitated the company’s best of the best performing sales personnel.

The event was held on 9 November at The Sirimavo Bandaranayake Exhibition hall, with the distinguished participation of the Board of Directors and the senior management of Sri Lanka Insurance. Minister of Public Enterprise Development Kabir Hashim graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the evening followed by the Guest of Honour, Secretary to the Ministry of Public Enterprise Development Ravindra Hewavitharana.

Over 1,400 attended this year’s ceremony. The day belonged to the sales personnel who have proved their ability through sheer dedication, hard work and clear pursuit of their goals. The night was celebrated on an Oscar award theme with much glamour and grandeur, featuring many unique entertaining acts that kept the audience spell bound.

The Star awards night saw 435 Best Insurance sales performers and team leaders being awarded for their excellent sales performance. They were all awarded on the basis of achieving the set sales targets and standards. The second and third place achievers were also invited to witness this magnificent evening to applaud the achievements of their colleagues.

Best Regional Sales Managers, Sales Managers, Team leaders and Advisors were recognised under their respective business category that is Life and Non-Life Insurance business, with special certificates and cash awards. The best of the best in this category was presented with an attractive plaque in addition to the cash awards and certificates. The new additions, seen at this year’s award ceremony was the recognition of 46 sales advisors being recognised for their long standing dedicated service to the company for over 35 years. Also the addition of the achievers club the ‘Platinum Star’ was launched at the event recognising its inaugural members. The elite Platinum Star Club comprises of the highest achieving advisors in the company.  

Speaking at the event Sri Lanka Insurance Chairman Hemaka Amarasuriya voiced his appreciation and gratitude to the Sales Force who are the backbone of the company, for their dedication and commitment towards taking Sri Lanka Insurance to its vision of being the number one Insurer in the country.

Executive Director P.P.J. Perera, in his speech congratulated and expressed his appreciation on the dedication and commitment of all achievers and requested that all should align to take Sri Lanka Insurance to the pinnacle of the business world.

The Chief Guest for the evening, Minister of Public Enterprise Development Kabir Hashim in his keynote speech added that Sri Lanka Insurance is one of the leading Institutions in the state sector and is confident that through efficient and proper governance it would be able to steer forward as one of the most proficient companies in the country, and commended on the performance of the achievers.
