SEC conducts capital market awareness programs for chambers

With a view to imparting knowledge on investing in the capital market and broad basing the investor base, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) has initiated a series of awareness programs in collaboration with regional and district chambers of commerce and industry.

As a first in a series of awareness programs, in collaboration with the Central Province Exporter’s Chamber and the Moneragala District Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, the SEC conducted two seminars for chamber members. The Buttala and Kandy programs attracted over 250 members with the participation of the Colombo Stock Exchange and stock broking companies as well as unit trust management companies.
