Commenting on the objectives of this series of workshops, Sarvodaya Development Finance Ltd. CEO Ravindra Ranjith notes, “Through these workshops our aim is to give small and medium entrepreneurs a basic introduction to the concept of ‘Entrepreneurship’, an introduction of basic accounting concepts, identification of basic accounting records, and the need to understand why a business should maintain a simple set of financial records. The seminars were well received in all districts and we hope to educate more and more grass root level business people on financial literacy regularly. We have also decided to have more programs of this nature in the other parts of the country covering all our branches.”
The Management of SDF took a decision to provide an additional service to its customers on top of lending (Credit Plus) to enhance the knowledge in business management so that SDF can proudly produce a set of successful businessmen/entrepreneurs in the country.
