Sampath Bank PLC was awarded the 6th Top Corporate performer position in Sri Lanka for the financial year ending 2015-2016 at the Business Today TOP 30 awards ceremony held at Colombo Hilton recently in the presence of Chief Guest Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
This year, the bank leaped up an impressive four ranks from No.10 in the financial year ending 2014-2015 edition of Business Today’s TOP 30. Over the past two decades, the bank was recognised for its strength, stability and primary focus on customer convenience, information technology and innovative products.
Having been recognised as the 6th top corporate, Sampath Bank was also commended for its underlying commitment of good governance evident in the bank’s balance between economic performance of corporates and environmental social performance. During the financial year 2015, Sampath Bank posted a revenue up by 5.5% to record Rs. 47 billion. The bank further documented a growth of 24.8% to record Rs. 6.1 billion after taxes.
