Rohan steps down as SMB Leasing Deputy Chairman

Top professional Rohan Senanayake has tendered his resignation from the post of Non-Executive Deputy Chairman of SMB Leasing Plc with effect from June 25th.

Though stepping down from the substantive post, Rohan will continue to function as a Non Executive Director of the Company. He will also continue to be Chairman of SMB Money Brokers (Pvt) Ltd, SMB Securities (Pvt) Ltd, SMB Real Estate Limited and Corporate Finance & Capital Market Limited. Rohan is also the Deputy Chairman of Kenanga Investment Corporation Ltd.

Known for a longstanding career in financial and securities Industry, Rohan is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of the United Kingdom and Fellow member of the CIMA of Sri Lanka. In his career he had served companies such as Central Finance, Central Securities, Ceylinco Insurance, Somervile Stock Brokers.

In 2010 financial year SMB Leasing saw its positive networth improve to Rs. 520 million as against a negative figure of Rs. 70 million.
