Bank of Ceylon commenced its Avurudu ‘Ganu-Denu’ with President Mahinda Rajapakse at the Tangalle branch recently. BOC Chairman President’s Counsel Razik Zarook, BOC General Manager D.M. Gunasekara, BOC AGM Southern Province D.K.N. Piyasoma and BOC Tangalle Branch Manager P. W Ariyasiri witnessed the occasion along with the bank employees and its customers.
For 73 years, the bank has been in the forefront in preserving our national heritage and upholding traditions and cultural values in its motherland. In this spirit, Bank of Ceylon requested its valued customers to celebrate this Avurudu with their families and engage with Avurudu customs and rituals and thereby upheld the heritage of our great nation and passed on to the future generations the values, principals and traditions of our country.
The bank offers their heartfelt gratitude to the honourable clergy and academics of our society whose word of wisdom served in our endevour to remind our society on traditions and cultural values of Avurudu.
The management also thanked their valued customers, who joined them on at each branch for Avurudu ‘Ganu-Denu’ to set a record of the highest number of deposits.
