A beneficiary of the dairy development loan scheme receiving the cheque from the President
HDFC Bank, the bank with a track record of being the preferred financial partner for Sri Lankan’s aspiring to build their dream home for over three decades, declared open its newest branch in Polonnaruwa recently.
The branch was formally declared open by President Maithripala Sirisena in the presence of Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake, North Central Province Chief Minister Peshala Jayaratne, HDFC Bank Chairman R.J. De Silva, CEO/GM of HDFC Bank Nimal Mamaduwa and other senior officials of the bank.
North Western Province Regional Manager Kapila Senevirathne, Polonnaruwa Branch Manager Nadeeshan Jayasekera and other distinguished guests and customers in the area also attended this ceremony.
The launch of this branch will further enhance the trust to achieve the mission of the bank of contributing to the national goal of providing decent housing to all. Further the bank’s strategy involves empowering lives by making micro credit, small business loans, dairy development loans and leasing.
At this opening ceremony, the President handed over the cheques to the beneficiaries who had availed themselves of loans under the dairy development loan scheme of the bank aiming at ensuring the contribution towards self-sufficiency in milk products in the Polonnaruwa area.
The bank’s immense experience and insight gained through three decades of providing the Sri Lankan consumer with superior housing solutions will be used effectively to provide highly customer focused financial solutions towards the economic development in the North Central Province.
Therefore the bank’s leasing and hire purchase solutions will mainly focus on small and medium scale entrepreneurs and the farming community with a view of uplifting their standard of living. Leasing and hire purchase facilities will be granted for vehicles including cars, dual purpose vehicles, lorries, busses, tractors, motor bicycles and three wheelers.
