People’s Bank welcomes 2013 by taking service oath

The staff of People’s Bank commenced operations in 2013, by taking the service oath. In commemorating this occasion, a special celebration was held on 1 January under the patronage of People’s Bank Chairman W. Karunajeewa and Chief Executive Officer/General Manager N. Vasantha Kumar at the head office of People’s Bank.

At this event, the entire staff took the service oath under the patronage of N. Vasantha Kumar. A special speech was delivered to the staff members by W. Karunajeewa, followed by a Pirith ceremony and other religious programs.

The event was graced by the corporate and executive management of People’s Bank, representatives of trade unions, representatives of religious organisations, representatives of other voluntary organisations and staff members.

Simultaneously, special ceremonies were organised at all People’s Bank branches and service centres island wide and their staff also took the service oath.
