A program is launched to double the savings during the Vanitha Vasana Month for all Vanitha Vasana Accounts. For this purpose, People’s Bank has introduced Savings Receipts valued at Rs. 1,000, Rs. 5,000, Rs. 10,000, Rs. 25,000, Rs. 50,000, Rs. 100,000 and those who deposit money to Vanitha Vasana Accounts during the Vanitha Vasana Month will receive these Savings Receipts. These savings Receipts will be taken in for a special draw and the person with the winning receipt will receive the amount on the receipt as the prize.
For example, if a person has deposited Rs. 25,000 to a Vanitha Vasana Account and her receipt is chosen as the winning receipt, People’s Bank will deposit an additional Rs. 25,000 to her account. Vanitha Vasana accounts receive more interest rate than a regular savings account and the accumulated interest will be automatically transferred to the account. Furthermore, savings during the Vanitha Vasana Month will be entitled to People’s Bank Jaya Sri Draw. Enjoy all these benefits by opening a Vanitha Vasana Account or add a special deposit to an existing Vanitha Vasana Account during the Vanitha Vasana Month. Vanitha Vasana Draw will be held at all People’s Bank branches islandwide simultaneously with the 51st anniversary of People’s Bank in July.
