People’s Bank launches programs to reward customers on 53rd anniversary

Celebrating 53 years of noble service to the nation on 1 July 2014, People’s Bank through its islandwide branch network of over 730 branches has organised a series of programs to reward millions its customers who have been part of the bank’s success over the past five decades. Apart from investing in technological advancements to make banking a pleasant and convenient experience to its valued customers, as a special anniversary offer, the bank has stepped forward to reward all customers with exciting gifts when they open new accounts. Commenting on this special 53rd anniversary program, Deputy General Manager (Retail Banking) Renuka Jayasinghe speaking on the service rendered by People’s Bank over the past 53 years towards shaping the lives of the common man said: “Our ability to recognise the aspirations of the Sri Lankan people and to help them fulfil these aspirations has been the singular factor that has made people’s bank the bank that feels the pulse of people. We want to share this proud moment with all our valued customers who propelled this Bank to this commanding position, and hence this special program offers gifts to those who are opening new accounts and start saving with us.” Hence, from 1 July, any customer who opens any type of savings account with Rs. 5,000, Rs. 10,000 Rs. 25,000 or Rs. 50,000 will receive an attractive gift. However, the gifts are limited and available on a first come first served basis. Apart from rewarding the customers with attractive gifts, the bank also intends offering a host of benefits to its customers by way of customer-specific account plans and loan schemes which includes housing loans, professional loan, People’s Wisdom higher education loans, People’s Auto Loans, and a range of similar loan schemes that are tailor made to suit changing customer expectations. The bank has also taken steps to enrol all customers in the People’s Mobile Banking Service and People’s Net internet banking loan absolutely free of charge, thereby taking ‘customer convenience’ to an all new plane.
