People’s Leasing onboard as a gold sponsor of ICASL National Conference

The country’s market leader in leasing, People’s Leasing Company will power one of the nation’s most anticipated event’s in the corporate calendar, the 32nd National Conference of Chartered Accountants organized by the national accounting body, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL).

Slated to be held from 20 to 22 October at Waters Edge Battaramulla, this year’s conference will be centered around the thought provoking theme “Quest for Balance.”

People’s Leasing’s Chief Executive Officer/GM  D. P. Kumarage and D.G.M – Finance and Administration  Sanjeewa Bandaranayake in a joint statement said, “We are honoured to be associated as the gold sponsor of this event and it is an indication of our commitment towards stakeholders as a responsible corporate.” Founded in 1995, People’s Leasing Company is a flagship fully owned subsidiary of People’s Bank and comprises of six subsidiary companies. Over the past 14 years, People’s Leasing has built an extraordinary tradition of excellence in all spheres of leasing and are today the established market leader in leasing.  Expressing views on this sponsorship, ICASL President  Sujeewa Mudalige said that the sponsorship by People’s Leasing is in testament to the reputation that the conference has built over the years since its inauguration in 1979 as one the most looked forward to business summits in the country.

 Mudalige noted that this sponsorship will strengthen the Institute’s quest to take this year’s conference to a higher level, setting a new benchmark.  This year’s conference too will feature an eminent panel of local and foreign speakers who will deliberate on balancing the complex and sometimes conflicting issues impacting on sustainable economic and business growth in Sri Lanka.

The three-day conference will be a platform to explore various means of achieving long term economic growth; building profitable and robust business models while balancing these objectives with humanitarian and environmental needs, in an increasingly challenging environment.
