Pan Asia Bank looking for a new CEO

Progressive Pan Asia Bank (PABC Bank) is looking for a new Chief Executive Officer.

As opposed to head hunting the Bank has advertised the vacancy. The current CEO and Director is Claude Peiris who is a senior banker with 38 years in the industry.

PABC is looking for a dynamic, result oriented and highly motivated individual who has the ability to inspire and lead the bank to achieve corporate and strategic objectives.

PABC has been in operation for 15 years and has 41 branches countrywide. In the 2010 Annual Report the Bank announced an ambitious growth plan.

The Bank in 2010 posted reasonably good results despite the adverse circumstances, recording Profit Before Tax of Rs. 934.27 mn for the year ended 31st December 2010, and Profit After Tax of Rs. 361.79 Mn allowing Rs. 572.48 mn (61%) for taxation.

Appointed as Acting CEO of Pan Asia Bank in August 2009 and thereafter, confirmed as Chief Executive Officer in May 2010 Peiris has in depth experience in Credit, Operations and Marketing makes him one of the most experienced bankers in Sri Lanka with wide cross disciplinary exposure gained both locally and overseas. In his near 4 decade career Peiris has been in senior managerial levels with Overseas Trust Bank, Colombo and served at Nations Trust Bank in the capacity of Assistant General Manager. Prior to this he has also been attached to Hatton National Bank and the British Bank of the Middle East. He was a Director at Lanka Clear (Pvt) Ltd and Credit Information Bureau Sri Lanka.
