Orient Finance PLC relocated its Galle branch to spacious new premises at 60B, Colombo Road, Kaluwella, Galle, in order to cater to the growing demand for their financial products.
The branch was ceremonially opened by its CEO Suresh Amerasekera in the presence of the corporate management of the organisation, Galle Branch Manager Thushan Abeythunga as well as customers and well-wishers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Orient Finance CEO Suresh Amarasekara reminisced on the 34 year old history of the company, explaining how it has become today a major player in the industry due to the recently concluded merger between Orient Finance and Bartleet Finance PLC. He also explained that the organisation decided to upgrade the Galle branch in order to provide a superior and highly efficient service to their valuable customers. He added that the branch is geared to provide all financial products including leasing, hire purchase, working capital loans and factoring apart from providing attractive interest rates for fixed deposit and savings accounts.
According to him the branch also provides leasing facilities coupled with a trading option where a prospective customer can trade in an old vehicle to purchase a new or another vehicle, without wasting time on the disposal of the old vehicle. OFP has created a niche market for this trade- in option in a highly competitive leasing market.
