Nations Trust Bank being a key player in the financial industry reiterated their commitment towards expansion with the opening of their 59th branch in Ja-Ela; a large suburb in the City of Colombo populated with many business enterprises and an industrial zone.
Located at 176, Colombo Road, Ja-Ela, the new branch is based on a proprietary design concept offering the ultimate in banking standards, coupled with 365-day banking and extended banking hours.
Being in operation for over 13 years, Nations Trust Bank has grown in strength and stability and has recorded a post-tax profit of Rs. 1.951 billion in 2012, surpassing the comparative period of last year by 21%.
With their entry to Ja-Ela the Bank will offer the recently launched ‘Nations Mobile Banking’ service which allows customers to access their banking information and gives them the ability to conduct transactions through their mobile phones. The mobile banking service facilitates the transfer of money between accounts and the settlement of customer’s Amex card payments and loan or lease payments. This convenient service also allows customers to transfer money to a third party and pay their utility bills. As a result of Nations Mobile Banking customers are able to transact with the bank from anywhere, at anytime.
Pawning services will be offered with extended banking hours making it more convenient to customers to conduct their transactions at a time and pace that suits their busy lifestyles. Remittances which are a key focus in supporting the branch expansion strategy will also be made available with Nations Trust Bank having tied up with several remittance partners worldwide to offer seamless transactions to customers across the branch network.
