National Savings Bank has yet again proved the supremacy of its annual reports at the recently-concluded League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) Vision Awards 2011 by being ranked 39th of the top 50 annual reports in the Asia-Pacific Region. The annual report also bagged the gold in the ‘Banks – Thrifts and Mortgage Finance’ category.
LACP Vision Awards is one of the top two global awards schemes for annual reports and this year’s awards have attracted a record 5,500 entries from around the world.
“The annual report is the single most important vehicle for an organisation to convey itself to its stakeholders and it is very important that the highest standards are adhered to in presenting financial and non-financial disclosures in annual reports.
National Savings Bank has always been committed to producing annual reports of the highest standards and this award has yet again substantiated our hard work.” said H.M. Hennayake Bandara, the General Manager/CEO of the bank.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Ajith Nivard Cabraal was the Chief Guest of the function.
