Japanese investor Takashi Igarashi has been appointed to the Board of Pan Asia Bank with effect from 3 October 2012.
He is one of the founder members and present Chairman of New World Securities, a trading member of the Colombo Stock Exchange, and sits on the Boards of NWS Holdings Ltd., NWS Management Services Ltd., NWS Financial Services Ltd., FEAWM Sri Lanka and Malaysia, and Ideal Finance Ltd., a licensed finance company.
Igarashi, a Japanese national, is an enterprising businessman specialising in the restructuring of unviable business, export of vehicles and heavy machinery from Japan, and development of IT systems. He has served as the Chairman and Founder of ANZUK Legal Service based in Auckland and also as the Director and Managing Director for Kokusai Jitsugyo Co Ltd. based in Japan. Following the latest appointment, the Board of Directors of Pan Asia Bank comprises Nimal Perera (Chairman), Eshana De Silva (Deputy Chairman), T.C.A. Peiris (CEO), J.A.S. Sumith Adhihetty, A. Page (Senior Director), M. Goonathilleke, H.K. Seneviratne, T.G. Thoradeniya, G.A.R.D. Prasanna, C. De Silva, and T. Igarashi.
