NDB opens first digitised branch at Kandy City Centre

NDB opened its first digitised branch at the Kandy City Centre (KCC) recently, marking the beginning of a new era of banking. The new branch is the 81st banking outlet to be added to NDBs island-wide branch network and is designed to offer the visitors with a novel banking experience, powered by the latest in information technology. NDBs digital branch at the KCC, ‘NDB Connect’ is equipped with modern digital touch screens and self-banking features that are designed to make day-to-day banking faster and more convenient. Through the digital touch screens at the branch, customers would have instant access to a gamut of information that would help them make well-informed lifestyle decisions. Content hosted on these touch screens covers vital lifestyle topics such as; house purchase and home maintenance advice, savings and investment guidance, assistance with regard to child nutrition, disciplining and educating children, saving for children’s future, etc., along with a host of other helpful tips that aim to enhance knowledge of the visitors.  The digital interface also hosts entertainment features such as games and fun-learning activities to engage with children visiting the branch.  The content is hosted in all three languages of Sinhala, Tamil and English, effectively catering to the diverse clientele of the bank.
