Nations Trust Bank held its annual Retail Banking Awards Ceremony 2016 at Stein Studios, Ratmalana on 25 March.
The Retail Banking Awards seeks to recognise and reward outstanding performances by Retail Banking staff during the year. The best individuals and teams across 49 categories were recognised at the event, which was followed by cocktails, fellowship and a fabulous dinner. High-ranking members of the bank’s senior management, including Nations Trust Bank CEO Renuka Fernando were present at the event. The Guest of Honour for the evening was none other than cricketing legend Kumar Sangakkara.
Speaking at the event, Nations Trust Bank DGM – Consumer Banking Priyantha Talwatte said: “Today innovation, excellence and synergy are the key drivers of success in the marketplace. Rewarding these qualities is a prime way to encourage them and inspire our branch teams to achieve excellence.”
More than 1,000 members of Nations Trust Bank’s Retail Banking team from across the island came together at the Retail Banking Awards 2016. Some of the most prestigious awards that were handed out at the ceremony were the awards for Best Private Banking Relationship Manager, Best Inner Circle Ambassador, Best Branch Service Champion, Best Credit Manager/Assistant Manager, Best Business Banking Account Relationship Officer, Best Account Relationship Officer, Best Assistant Manager, Best Operations Manager, Best Business Development Officer, Best Relationship Manager and Best Branch Manager.
The most coveted awards for Best Branch of the Year 2016 in the ‘Drive’ category and the Best Branch of the Year 2016 in the ‘High Growth’ category were won by the teams at Nations Trust Bank’s Branches in Kottawa and Avissawella, respectively.
