Sri Lanka’s largest listed conglomerate, John Keells Holdings PLC (JKH), is back onboard this year as a Lead Sponsor of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL).
JHK, which was one of the four lead sponsors for ICASL in 2010, sees this partnership with the national accounting body as an initiative which will immensely contribute towards the long-term educational development in the sphere of accounting.
JKH Group Finance Director Ronnie Peiris noted that JKH was proud to partner ICASL yet again, as the institute boasts an impressive track record of the development of the accountancy profession and accountants in the country and was a highly respected accounting body in both Sri Lanka and abroad.
He emphasised that JKH was committed to maintaining integrity, ethical dealings, sustainable development and greater social responsibility in a multi-stakeholder context and the agreement with ICASL was particularly an initiative to ensure the development of accountants in Sri Lanka.
Peiris also added that many chartered accountants at JKH continue to play significant roles in adding value to the organisation.
