‘SLIBFI 7,’ organised for the seventh consecutive year by UTO EduConsult Ltd., is held against the backdrop of a new vista of opportunities for those in the financial sector. The challenges posed and the opportunities created would be discussed by leading luminaries in Sri Lanka’s Islamic finance institutions, experts from conventional financial institutions, and those servicing the industry at multiple levels.
An unprecedented gathering at the fourth SLIBFI Awards held in May this year was a reflection of the giant strides taken by the IBF industry in Sri Lanka. The 7th SLIBFI Conference, which has been the main event in the IBF calendar since the inaugural event held in 2009, is expected to further reinforce this message.
This year’s program, under the theme ‘Rekindling the Spirit,’ will witness presentations and panel discussions on a variety of subjects. It will also include a presentation on the ‘Perception of consumers towards IBF,’ based on a formal study conducted for a thesis.Plans for a formal SLIBFI Association are also being mooted, and the conference is expected to provide a launching pad for what is expected to be a significant milestone in the annals of the IBF industry in Sri Lanka.
The 7th SLIBFI Conference, scheduled to be held on Thursday 30July 2015 at the Galadari Hotel, promises its audience yet another successful day filled with interactive knowledge sharing and networking opportunities amongst the IBF fraternity.
