IMF meets Gitanjana

The Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Gitanjana Gunawardena met the IMF Mission Chief to Sri Lanka Dr. John Nelmes when the latter paid a courtesy call at the Ministry of Finance during his recent visit to Sri Lanka.

During the meeting the Minister discussed the progress of the IMF standby arrangement, the performance of the economy and the continued association with the IMF consequent to the conclusion of the standby arrangement.

Officials from the Treasury, Central Bank and IMF Resident Representative to Sri Lanka Dr. Koshy Mathai also participated in the discussion.
